Come meet the QRILL Team at Aquafuture, Spain

Blog overview

Virginie Claeyssens, Director of Sales for QRILL Aqua (EU) discusses the upcoming Aquafuture Conference and what the QRILL Aqua team is most looking forward to while in Spain.

1. What are you most looking forward to at Aquafuture Spain 2022?

I am very excited to be attending Aquafuture Spain as it brings together some of the brightest and best experts in the aquaculture industry. As we continue to move toward a post-Covid time in the world, it allows us to meet in person and that is one of the highlights for me. I am looking forward to meeting our partners as well as new connections at the show.

2. What trends/new developments are you hoping to see?

Sustainability is a major topic at Aquafuture and there are many program discussions designed around it. This is a priority area for QRILL Aqua, especially as we work towards our 2030 sustainability goals. To that end, I am very interested in hearing more about the sustainability efforts in the aquaculture industry. The future of aquaculture depends on sustainable and functional feed ingredients and the team at QRILL Aqua is thrilled to share all the new and exciting initiatives underway regarding krill.

3. Does the team at QRILL Aqua have any new and exciting developments to share?

Yes, we have a lot of new initiatives around science and sustainability to share during Aquafuture. Here is a sneak peek of those topics:

  • A study review regarding Antarctic Krill meal in European Seabass diets and how it improves growth, feed efficiency, health status while reducing formulation costs.
  • A new review paper demonstrating how krill meal improves the health and performance of trout and salmon.
  • QRILL Aqua’s sustainability update pertaining to Aker BioMarine’s Antarctic krill fishery A-rating from the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP). This marks the seventh consecutive year that the company received this recognition.
  • Aker BioMarine’s vertically integrated supply chain and continuity of supply.

4. How can we find you onsite or get in touch with the team?

Come meet the team onsite at Aquafuture (Booth # 81) to learn more. We look forward to seeing you in Spain!
